Tips for Optimal Web Design

A good website design will offer your visitor an easy to navigate and aesthetically pleasing site. It will lead them to a starting point and
direct them through without any confusion, making them more likely to return to your site and use your business.
Here are some tips that will help you to develop a site that is user friendly and promotes return business.
  1. Focus on the customer - make it obvious to the viewer that you are there for them. What can you do for them? How can you make
their life/business better, more manageable, more profitable, more enjoyable? Find out what what they want to know, what they need and

how you can offer it to them.
  2. Use a site map - a site map will guide your visitors through your page and eradicate confusion. It will also increase your ranking within
    the search engines
  3. Make sure your page loads fast - viewers do not like having to wait for a page to load and will go elsewhere if they have to wait too long.Reduce the content of your page to ensure a fast loading time.
  4. Use understandable links and buttons - be clear with your labelling, don't confuse your visitors!
  5. Include a 'Privacy' Link - Users like to be reassured that you have a privacy policy and that you won't sell or give away their information.Your privacy policy should be prominently displayed.
  6. Each page should have an 'about' link - visitors to your site will feel better about doing business with you if they know who you are and what you are about. You should include your business address, phone number and email address so visitors know they can contact you if they need to.
Keep your website easy to understand and interesting, make it user friendly so that your visitors will want to return and do business with you again.
